Hope’s Testimony
I started attending my current church in November 2014. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for two years; praying for God to increase our family. The challenge of waiting for the fruit of the womb was a difficult one for me. I started seeking God’s help.
I was off work one of the Wednesdays in January 2015; as I was crying, angry and sober, I remembered there is ladies’ prayer meeting every Wednesday morning in my church, so I washed my face and went for the prayer.
Getting to the prayer meeting, with tears in my eyes, I asked one of the women in the prayer meeting to please pray for so I can conceive. The ladies gathered around me and prayed, and I received it by faith. I remember specifically that a sister prophesied to me and said that I will get pregnant before June 2015 – this I received, and responded with an “Amen”. I went back home and started feeding my faith with God’s word, and reading other encouraging books focused on building one’s faith.
The rest is history! Inexplicably, I got pregnant in April 2015, and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on January 6, 2016 which happen to be my birthday as well! My baby girl was dedicated to God on April 17th, 2016.
“When the Lord turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream. Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The Lord hath done great things for them. The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad (Psalm 126: 1-3)”.
This has been my song since then. Our God is faithful; our God is awesome! I bless God for answered prayers, and claim more to come in Jesus name Amen.
Friends, if you are experiencing any fruitlessness in your life, I encourage you to hold unto God’s word, confess it daily, and maintain your faith in God – HE will make you a fruitful vine whose branches run over a wall (Genesis 49:22 -NIV).
