Joy’s Testimony

After my marriage, I could not conceive for a while. I desperately wanted to bear kids of my own, so I consulted different medical doctors – all to no avail; finally, the resolution was made to rely solely on God. After exactly 20 years of waiting, my first child arrived! My husband and I were very thrilled and content with what God had done for us.

Months down the line, after the birth of our first baby, I received a prophecy that God was going to bless us with another baby! Still basking in the joy of our first child, we were not expecting any more babies, especially given the fact that we had waited 20 years, and did not have the advantage of age on our side.  So we took this prophecy with a pinch of salt and continued our daily lives.

Shortly after, I observed symptoms of pregnancy and went to the clinic, but the test returned a negative result, so I was told it was not pregnancy. Going about my life as usual, I was interrupted by the same symptoms again – it was later confirmed at the hospital that my uterus was empty as per the scan result.

This went on and on for a while; but each time I received a negative result from the clinic, I also received a prophecy that confirmed pregnancy. I refused to bother myself with the confusion that was going on and just focused on taking care of my first child. To further compound the situation, the size of my stomach was not grossly enlarged as the months progressed.

Suddenly on this particular day, I started experiencing labor pains! Getting to the hospital, the doctors tried giving the same explanation that I was not pregnant (they probably thought that I was mentally deranged by now). However, to everybody’s amazement, I gave birth to a baby! I cannot begin to explain the pandemonium that broke out! As if that was not enough, the labor pain continued, and a second baby came out!! A completely natural birth – at the age of 52!

Really, there are no words to describe this miracle! I am still as shocked as anyone else. The one who was once barren is now the mother of three kids! All I can say is that God is mighty and most powerful; He sits upon the heavens and does what He pleases, and nobody can stop Him! Truly there is no impossibility with God!
