YOU ARE AN ACTOR

Jeremiah 1: 5; Romans 8: 28 ; Isaiah 49: 15-16

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

We all know that prior to acting a play or movie, it needs to have been scripted; and for it to be scripted, the story line must first be born in the mind of the writer. In other words, a movie that has no script cannot be acted because it has not been visualized or planned ahead of time.

Each of our lives here on earth has been visualized, and planned, by God ere we came into existence. The blueprints of our lives were already in place even before we were born. God is purposeful in whatever He does; not only are we fearfully and wonderfully made, the events of our lives have all been carefully and purposefully selected (or allowed) by God.

Imagine each of our lives as an interesting story scripted (long time ago) for acting. God is the script writer, as well as the movie director. Our part here is to act out the story according to the original script. As a movie director , if we let Him, God pilots each of our lives in a way that fulfills His original plans, and initial intentions – so that the purpose of our existence (destiny) is realized.

When God is in control of our lives, the good and bad occurrences of life do not really matter; even the most intricate maze of life’s experiences will not baffle Him because He wrote the script, and (as the movie director) will ensure things all work together for our good at the very end.

However, if we object to God’s directions in our self-sufficiency/confidence, we detour from the script or original plans. When the movie director is no longer in charge, the story of our lives go awry; the destiny is jeopardized, and this can only lead to confusion and havoc!

Therefore, the best way to enjoy life (and ensure a successful end) is to invite (or permit) the original script writer, the movie director, to take over; let Him control the chain of events as they arise. The unfolding storyline may not make sense to us at the moment, but remember that God is intentional with our lives. Just focus on your part (which is to act i.e. follow instructions) – as the movie director executes the original intention of the script through our lives.

Leave the final outcome of your life to Him – He wrote the script, and has foreseen all the events of your life ahead of time (good and bad). Just stick with the script, and He will bring this movie to a successful and happy end!
