17 Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin

The consistent moral decline in our society has reached an alarming state! The tolerance for evil habits seems to have been raised higher. The prevalence of evil and immoral acts have severely threatened our society’s moral standards. Crime rates and a variety of atrocities have defined the current moral decadence that plagues the world at large today! The prevalence of evil endeavors is represented everywhere – in the newspapers, politics, media, video, game industries, etc. And if this does not bother you, check your pulse!

What it the point here? It is time for each and every one of us to arise and push back this sickening darkness that is rapidly eclipsing our world. We all are change agents, and have the potential to do something, even in any little way that’ll make a difference. Ever heard of the quote ‘all it takes for evil to thrive is for good people to do nothing’. If you think we can continue to be onlookers and expect a positive change sometime in the future, then think again!

Friends, we are the solution we are seeking, we are the change we are expecting, we are the hope for a better tomorrow! What are your potentials? It is time to stop sitting on your gifts – rise up and do something! Begin to bloom where you are planted! Brighten the corner where you are! Take baby steps, but keep moving in the right direction. Push darkness away with your gifts and good deeds. Let us create the kind of world we want to see! This is a wake-up call to each and every one of us!

If not us, then who? If not now, then when? We can no longer continue to sit idly by and watch evil prevail. Grow in the areas you’ve been called to serve – be it technology, media, gaming, cooking, photography, filming, writing, scripting, drama, video productions, singing, compositions, etc. Begin to positively impact the world around you. It may seem like our efforts are intangible in the scheme of things, but remember ‘little drops of water make a mighty ocean’. If we can all faithfully hold up our little candles in each of our corners, we will light up the world!

This is a clarion call to all and sundry – let us arise and be the change we want to see, for the sake of our children, and future generations! The ball is in our court. The initiative lies with us!
