DON’T PUT A LIMITATION ON IT

Matthew 9: 29; 19:26; Proverbs 23: 7; Genesis 13: 15; Mark 9: 23

“Then He touched their eyes, saying, “according to your faith let it be to you.”

Putting a limitation on something is to create restrictions or restraints around its borders; this becomes an impediment, obstruction, hindrance or barrier. A limitation is like a cap (beyond which the realm of possibility disappears), or a blockage in the door of opportunities.  There is much to be said about the constraints imposed by a limitation.

This article focuses on a common attitude that is easily (or unconsciously) adopted in the place of waiting – especially waiting periods that have lasted for so long. The tendency is to allow (or develop) mental limitations – as to what remains possible or impossible. Processing issues (or situations) through our human mindsets a barrier on what is humanly possible or impossible.

For instance, a woman believing God for the fruit of the womb, who is now 50 years old, would ordinarily begin to entertain the thought that it is no longer possible for her to have babies because she’s past childbearing age, and probably battling the onset of menopause. What this means is that she has set a limitation on age! In her mindset, a barrier has been created beyond the realm of her possibility.

Regardless of the situation or the length of the waiting period, once the realm of a possibility is blocked (even by the faintest disbelief of any sort or form), a limiting mindset has set in! And referencing the scriptures listed above, God will act or move according to our belief (i.e. faith or conviction); in other words, if the belief is that it is still possible, then God will act accordingly, but if otherwise, His hands are tied!

God cannot be limited in any situation or circumstance – any limiting effect of nature in existence is still under His control and manipulation. He made the rules and can change it to suit His purpose and pleasure. So when it comes to God, there are no limiting factors – His love has no limit, His grace has no measure, His power has no boundaries – all things are possible (but only if you believe)!

I do not know how long you’ve been waiting for your deliverance, for that breakthrough, or for the answers to come. I’m convinced it’s not been an easy road, and you are probably now exhausted, maybe even in a state of debilitation; however, I encourage you not to put a limitation on the realm of your possibilities, or the door of your opportunities.

Remember that there are no limitations with God, and if He is with you in this journey – all things are still possible!!!

Shalom
