psalms 150:1-6; 107:31
“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!”
The book of psalms is filled with praises to the Most High God; and all over the books of the bible, we are encouraged to praise God either for HIS acts or simply for who HE is. Praise if one of the greatest weapons available to mankind.
But how many of us have engaged the use of this weapon in our daily routine? The fact is that most times, we are caught up in the stream of our various requests that we forget to give The Almighty the praises due His name.
Just recently, I read an account of someone who caught a revelation of what happens when we praise God; and wow this blew my mind! The power and blessings that come from praising God cannot be over-emphasized.
Our praise is a two-edged sword: When you engage in praise and worship, the Angels collect your praises and it is taken to the throne room of God and poured on HIS altar (as a sweet smelling aroma to God). God then begins to release HIS glory upon you; HE begins to bless you, and fight your battles. Meanwhile, your praises become a weapon against the kingdom of darkness –it sends missiles to the devil’s camp and does serious damages!
When you dance before God, your steps create a beautiful master piece that the Angels present before God in the throne room-this is kept forever in heaven (with your name on it) as a memorial.
I hope this write up motivates you to praise God more than ever. May you continually pour out your praise before HIM. May praises become your routine and daily sacrifice to God!
Even today, now, and this minute – pour out your praises before HIM!
