Psalm 89:24 ; 98:3
“But My faithfulness and My mercy shall be with him, And in My name his horn shall be exalted”.
When we go through hard places in life, we cannot help but observe God’s faithfulness from day to day. How HE keeps us, preserves us, upholds us, provides for us, encourages us, etc.
Just reflect on how God has sustained you (emotionally, spiritually, physically, and mentally); the things He has done to make your burdens lighter. I remember when God cancelled the debt I owed (a large sum of money), even without my praying about it. Or should I talk about when I was low on food, and a neighbor consistently brought my family fresh homemade bread every week not even knowing I was in need (she said God had told her to keep baking bread for me every week – and my family loves bread!).
What about when we had no money to pay rent, someone – who we had not told about our current challenging times – sent us enough money to pay the rent (with a little change left at the end of the day).
All these together constitute what I refer to as “flowers along the way”. And I could go on and on with more testimonies; but the fact is that God sends us “flowers” in our trials and pains. It’s almost as if HE is saying “I have not forgotten you, I have not forsaken you, I know what you are going through, I am thinking of you, etc.”.
Have you received some flowers from God lately, some good will, some help, some blessings, etc.? – This is God lightening your burden, and saying “I love you”. Why don’t you take a moment and ponder on the flowers God has sent you; then spend some time and say “Thank you Jesus”.
