John 19: 28-30

“After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”  Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.  So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit”.

It is finished – the struggle over sin is over

It is finished – the defiling stain of sin is cleansed

It is finished – the snare of iniquity is undone

It is finished – the luring habits of sin are gone

It is finished – the finality of death is conquered

It is finished – the hopelessness of our fallen race is bygone

It is finished – the mocking hands of death are defeated

It is finished – the penalty of death is cancelled

It is finished – the boast of hell is silenced

It is finished – the sting of the grave is gone

It is finished – the terminality of the grave is revoked

It is finished – the power of hell is vanquished

It is finished – the devil’s assaults are quenched

It is finished – the yoke of captivity is broken

It is finished – the devil’s kingdom is routed

It is finished – the hurt of injustice is consoled

It is finished – the grip of infirmity is subdued

It is finished – the shame of reproach is removed

It is finished – the torment of affliction is vanished

It is finished – the pain of suffering is comforted

It is finished – our lost eternity is recovered

It is finished – our separation from God is reconciled

It is finished – our right with God is purchased

It is finished – the fallen state of humanity is redeemed

It is finished – authority is restored to human race

It is finished – our right to Sonship is restored

It is finished – Christ has won the victory

It is finished – And Jesus is Lord!
