Corinthians 1:20-21,25

^25 “Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men”.

Have you ever been in a situation where you tried to help yourself and things went sideways? I have been there!

Going through a difficult situation at the time, I took it upon myself to solve my problems without consulting or soliciting God’s help. So I put all my skills and intelligence to work -my thoughts were logical, my efforts were worthwhile, and my intentions were good. Even though the results were seemingly favorable, they were not the best! The solutions I conjured were not lasting – as a matter of fact, along the way I inherited other humiliating experiences that are best left unmentioned.

At my lowest ebb, I cried to God and HE asked me to discard my efforts and all attempts, and let HIM handle my challenges. God was teaching me to solely depend on HIM for every step and every need – I wish I could say it was an easy task for me. But God did not give up on me; HE patiently worked on me until I could boldly declare with Esther “If I perish, I perish”! Completely, I resigned to HIS will, trusting HIM day by day.

Today, I am a living proof of God’s providence! HE does not fail; and HIS solutions transcend anything we could ever conjure with our finite mind! They are perfect, and divine!

Whatever you are dealing with today, – be it a challenge or a need – do not be wise in your own counsel. Let go, and let God; HE knows the ropes, and would NEVER fail you!
